Synchronized Skating (SYS) is THE team sport of figure skating and the Leaside Skating Club. SYS offers the same wonderful social skills and benefits as other team sports such as ice hockey, soccer, etc.

We recommend that young beginning skaters (CanSkate) continue their skating lessons within the club. It is essential that skaters acquire good skating skills. Upon reaching CanSkate 5 or higher please consider auditioning for the Meraki elementary team.
More accomplished skaters, who have never tried Synchronized Skating, are encouraged to contact the Meraki coaches. We will be happy to guide you towards the Meraki team best suited to your level of skating and age. SYS experience is NOT necessary for skaters who wish to audition for any Meraki team.
