MK MacDougall - Intermediate

MK bioMK is thrilled to be joining the Meraki family. Having skated on black ice Senior for 15 years, she is eager to pass on her experience and knowledge of synchronized skating. MK is a quadruple gold medalist in Freeskate, Interpretive, Dance and Skating Skills and began her synchro career back in 1993.

While with black ice MK was proud to win numerous National, International and World medals and traveled to South Africa, England, and across the US as a demonstrator for International Skating Union development seminars. MK is Level 3 NCCP certified coach with a CEP Gold Status. She has held Committee and Board of Director positions with Skate Canada-Central Ontario and has been a National Level Technical Specialist since 2007.

Jennifer Williams - Pre Juvenile / Novice

Jen bioJennifer joined the Leaside teams in 2001 after a tremendously successful synchro career with black ice Senior Synchronized Skating Team under Cathy Dalton. She also started her skating career at Leaside and went on to become a competitive singles and synchronized skater. She earned 5 World Championship medals with black ice and has several more national medals as a coach at Leaside.

Jennifer has coached at all levels within the Leaside program. Jennifer is a Level 2 NCCP coach and has almost completed her Level 3. She also graduated from Sport Seneca with an Honors Degree in Figure Skating.

Meredith Tutching - Elementary

Meredith Tutching Bio PictureMeredith Tutching has been a professional figure skating coach for over 20 years. Although she retired in 2015 she is thrilled to be back training the development skaters with Meraki. Her passion for the sport of synchro runs deep and she is looking forward to training the Elementary team. Meredith coached the Novice team at Leaside for 15 years (2001-2015) and throughout this time period also coached Juvenile (4 years), Elementary (1 year) and Junior (1 year). She also coached in Sweden and Australia as well as coaching hockey players all the way up to the NHL in Power Skating.

As a skater Meredith earned 7 Canadian Synchronized Skating Championship Medals at Novice, Junior and Senior. She competed internationally and also is triple gold in her Skate Canada tests. Meredith is Level 3 NCCP certified.

Caitie McKinnon - Beginner 2

Caitie bioCaitie is a dedicated coach from the Newmarket area who has a passion for synchro and teaching young skaters about the sport that has given her so much. She is enthusiastic about building the Meraki program from the Beginner level and is bringing a wealth of skating experience to our club.

Caitie is a decorated skater and is a familiar face to the Leaside family as she did skate for our Junior Synchro team from 2011 2013. After her time at Leaside she went to skate Senior and was a member of Team Canada where she earned Gold and Silver Medals at the World Championships between 2013 and 2015. Caitie was a member of the Ryerson Figure Skating Team from 2015 - 2017 and as team captain she and her team were OUA Silver Medalists.
